A Cake Story works in sugar paste as a sculptural medium, shaping movement and figures so each wedding cake reads as a one-off art piece rather than a tiered standard. The designer points to nature, fashion, sculpture, pottery and architecture as starting points, and the brief is built around a statement centrepiece rather than a set menu.
The studio is based in Zurich and takes on destination weddings as well as styled shoots and workshops for other cake artists. Past work has appeared at Swiss venues including The Dolder Grand in Zurich, the Buergenstock Resort above Lucerne, Hotel Villa Honegg and The Alpina Gstaad. The website is in English.
